Role Overview
PetSmart's Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Clearwater, FL, delivers outstanding pet parent experiences, maintains store standards, and provides direct care for live pets. Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Manage pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and crickets; administer vet-directed meds.
- Uphold store cleanliness, execute price changes, stock shelves, and recover merchandising to sales floor standards.
- Sell products, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets including vet transport.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Must have strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Vision for depth perception and tolerance for moderate noise/animal exposure needed.
