Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Clifton Park, NY, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver exceptional service, maintain store standards, and care for live animals. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays while making a daily impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction via in-person, phone, register, and online interactions; greet, answer questions, prepare pickups.
- Provide hands-on pet care: feed/water/clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed meds; respond to sick pets.
- Execute merchandising: face/fill/recover products, stage new items, handle price changes/promotions.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Uphold safety, cleanliness, and company policies across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility. Physically demanding: lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, handle animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Ladder use, depth perception essential.
