Role Overview
PetSmart's Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Clovis, CA, delivers exceptional pet parent experiences, cares for store pets, and maintains a clean, safe store. This entry-level role offers flexible hours, evenings/weekends/holidays, and hands-on pet interaction in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide direct pet care: feed/water/clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed meds; respond to sick/injured pets.
- Merchandise store: face/fill/recover products, stage new items, support price changes/promotions.
- Sell merchandise/services/live pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Uphold safety/cleanliness standards across all store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Must have strong communication, schedule flexibility, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb, stoop; exposed to pets/noise). Vision for depth perception needed.
