Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll deliver exceptional pet parent experiences while caring for store pets and maintaining a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, ideal for animal lovers eager to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and sales at register.
- Provide hands-on care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and habitats including feeding, cleaning, and vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure store safety, respond to sick/injured pets, and support services areas as needed.
- Uphold cleanliness and company policies while fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who stay composed under pressure, handle 50+ lb lifts, climb ladders, and thrive in dynamic settings with live animals, moderate noise, and pet hair. Flexibility is essential.
