Role Overview
PetSmart's Part-Time Retail Sales Associate engages pet parents, cares for store pets, and maintains a clean, safe store. Based in Colorado Springs, CO, this entry-level role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with physical demands like lifting 50+ lbs and handling animals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Feed, water, clean habitats, and medicate store pets (birds, reptiles, fish, etc.).
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Promote events, recommend products/services, and ensure safety standards.
- Respond to sick/injured pets and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required, but pet enthusiasts thrive here. Must have strong communication, composure under pressure, and physical stamina for standing, lifting, and animal exposure. Ladder climbing, moderate noise, and wet environments are common.
