Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates are the heart of the store, delivering outstanding pet parent experiences while caring for live animals and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Located in Columbia, South Carolina, this entry-level role offers flexible hours perfect for pet lovers eager to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities
Drive sales by greeting customers, recommending products/services/pets, and handling online pickups. Provide hands-on pet care for birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals—including feeding, cleaning, and vet transports. Keep the store spotless, stock shelves, update pricing, and promote events like adoption weekends. Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers while assisting across all store areas.
Experience & Skills
No experience needed—pet passion is key! Required: excellent communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, ladder use, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environment. Reasonable accommodations available.
