Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Compton, CA, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver exceptional service, and maintain store standards. This entry-level role offers flexibility, hands-on pet care, and opportunities to shine in a fast-paced retail setting focused on pet happiness and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through in-person, phone, register, and online interactions, including seamless online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Execute merchandising tasks: face/fill products, stage new inventory, handle price changes, and maintain cleanliness.
- Sell merchandise, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key!
