Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and sales at register.
- Manage pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, fish, small animals; administer vet-directed meds.
- Uphold cleanliness, stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets with vet transport if needed.
- Support all store areas including services, following policies for a collaborative culture.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Ideal candidates have strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Specific vision for depth perception and tolerance for moderate noise/animal exposure essential.
