Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Coral Gables, Florida, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain an exceptional store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility, hands-on pet interaction, and the chance to make a daily impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
- Handle online order pickups, recommend products/services/live pets, and promote events like adoptions.
- Maintain store cleanliness, stock shelves, execute price changes, and ensure safety for pets, associates, and customers.
- Respond to sick/injured pets and assist across all store areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – pet passion is key! Must have strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments). Depth perception and team-lifting for heavier items needed.
