Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with paths to full-time and career advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Manage pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Recommend products, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety, respond to sick pets, administer vet-directed medications, and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, flexibility, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals). Exposure to pet hair, noise, and wet environments common; reasonable accommodations available.
