Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates (Pet Associates) deliver exceptional pet parent experiences, maintain store standards, and provide direct care for in-store pets. Based in Dallas, Texas, this entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities to grow within our supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Handle pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and crickets; administer vet-directed meds.
- Ensure store excellence by facing/filling products, staging merchandise, weekly price changes, and total cleanliness.
- Sell merchandise, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Prioritize safety: monitor pets for illness/injury, transport to vet if needed, and maintain secure environments.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle live animals in a dynamic retail setting with moderate noise and pet hair exposure. Flexibility and composure are essential.
