Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Daly City, CA, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver exceptional experiences, and uphold our vision. Share in store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care while supporting sales and operations in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and vet-directed medications.
• Maintain cleanliness, stock shelves, face products, and implement price/promotional changes.
• Sell merchandise, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick pets and assist store-wide.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments). Vision for depth perception essential.
