Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Davenport, Florida store, you'll deliver outstanding customer experiences, care for live pets, and keep our store sparkling. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers eager to engage with pet parents and contribute to store success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent service in-person, phone, register, and online; prepare pickup orders.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), administer vet-directed meds.
- Maintain cleanliness, face/fill products, stage merchandise, support pricing/promotions.
- Recommend/sell products, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, customers; respond to sick/injured pets and transport as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, handle physical demands (lift 50lbs+, climb ladders, stand/walk extensively), and embrace exposure to animals, pet hair, and moderate noise. Flexibility and composure are essential.
