Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates (Pet Associates) are the heart of the store, delivering exceptional pet parent experiences, maintaining cleanliness, and providing direct care for our live pets. Based in Denton, Texas, this entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Handle pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and crickets; administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote merchandise, services, events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain safety standards, respond to sick/injured pets, and support store-wide tasks including services areas.
- Uphold cleanliness and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – just a love for pets! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, with physical stamina to lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), stand/walk extensively, climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Flexibility and composure are key.
