Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates are the heart of the store, delivering exceptional pet parent experiences while caring for live animals and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Located in Dothan, Alabama, this entry-level role offers flexible hours perfect for pet lovers seeking rewarding work.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed meds, and respond to health issues.
- Execute merchandising tasks: stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Recommend products, services, and pets to boost sales while prioritizing safety for associates, pets, and customers.
- Assist across departments, maintain cleanliness, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – just a love for pets! We seek strong communicators who stay composed under pressure, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), stand/walk extensively, and work evenings/weekends/holidays. Exposure to animals, moderate noise, and wet environments is part of the fun. Reasonable accommodations available.
