Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver exceptional service, and maintain store standards. This entry-level role involves customer interactions, pet care, merchandising, and safety in a dynamic pet retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals).
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote merchandise/services/events.
- Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety, and respond to sick/injured pets by transporting to vet if needed.
- Administer pet medications per vet direction and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, handle 50+ lb lifts, climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments. Physical demands include standing, stooping, and exposure to noise/animals. Reasonable accommodations available.
