Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates in East Aurora, NY, deliver exceptional pet parent experiences, care for store pets, and keep our store sparkling. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with hands-on pet interaction and sales opportunities in a fun, pet-filled environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, questions, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide direct care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and habitats – feeding, cleaning, and vet-directed meds.
- Maintain merchandising standards: face/fill products, stage new items, handle price changes/promos.
- Sell merchandise/services/live pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick pets and support all store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – just a pet-loving attitude! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle live animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled setting. Flexibility and composure are key.
