Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates in East York, Ontario, deliver exceptional pet parent experiences, maintain store standards, and provide direct care for live pets. This entry-level role offers flexibility, pet interaction, and a supportive environment in a high-energy retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, questions, online order fulfillment, and sales.
- Manage pet health: feed, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), administer vet-directed meds, and respond to sick pets.
- Execute merchandising: stock, face, recover products, price changes, and maintain cleanliness/safety.
- Promote services, events (adoptions, Treats enrollment), and recommend merchandise/live pets.
- Collaborate across store areas, follow policies, and foster a culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lifting 50lbs+, standing, ladder use, animal handling in moderate-noise/wet environments). Depth perception and team lifting for heavier items needed.
