Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays while making a daily impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Promote sales, services, events like adoptions, and ensure pet safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and assist across store areas as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. We seek pet lovers with strong communication, composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, stand/walk extensively, handle animals). Flexibility is key.
Physical Demands
Expect standing, lifting, ladder use, exposure to pets, moderate noise, and wet areas. Reasonable accommodations available.
