Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Estero, Florida, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver exceptional service, maintain store standards, and care for live animals. This entry-level role offers flexibility, pet-loving environment, and pathways to career advancement in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent experience in-person, phone, register, and online; greet, answer questions, prepare pick-up orders.
- Provide pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish); administer vet-directed meds; respond to sick pets.
- Ensure store cleanliness, safety; stock, face, recover products; handle price changes and merchandising.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Assist across store areas, follow policies, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+).
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physical demands: stand/walk, climb, lift, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair.
