Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock, face, and recover merchandise; support price changes and promotions.
- Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety standards, and respond to pet health issues.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled settings. Depth perception and team lifting essential.
