Role Overview
Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates (Pet Associates) are the heart of the store, delivering outstanding pet parent experiences while upholding our vision of pet safety, cleanliness, and service excellence. Located in Flower Mound, Texas, this entry-level role offers flexible hours perfect for pet lovers eager to start their retail career.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Merchandise the store: face/fill products, stage new items, handle price changes, and maintain pristine cleanliness.
- Sell merchandise, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Prioritize safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets including vet transport.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – just a love for pets! We seek strong communicators who stay composed under pressure, work flexible schedules (evenings/weekends/holidays), and can lift 50+ lbs. Physical demands include standing, climbing, stooping, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet areas. Depth perception and teamwork are key.
