Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with physical demands including lifting up to 50lbs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service across in-person, phone, register, and online channels.
- Care for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and habitats: feed, water, clean, and medicate as directed.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment; sell merchandise and services.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and respond to pet health emergencies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Ideal candidates have strong communication, composure under pressure, and love for pets. Must handle physical tasks in a dynamic environment with animals, noise, and occasional wet conditions.
