Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Foothill Ranch, CA, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexible scheduling and hands-on pet interaction while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, online, and at checkout.
- Provide daily care for birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals including feeding, cleaning, and health monitoring.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety standards, and recommend products/services.
- Handle sick pets promptly and assist across store areas as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in a pet-filled environment.
