Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Fort Gratiot, Michigan, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver exceptional service, maintain store standards, and provide direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility, weekly pay, and a pathway to career advancement in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online; prepare pickup orders.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain cleanliness/safety.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Handle emergencies: transport sick pets to vet; assist across store areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physically demanding: lift 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), stand/walk, climb, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments.
