Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Fort Myers, FL, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold our vision. Share store maintenance, pet safety, and direct pet care responsibilities while working flexibly evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, climb ladders, lift 50 lbs frequently (team lift 100+ lbs), handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, etc.), administer vet-directed meds.
- Maintain cleanliness, face/fill products, stage merchandise, handle price changes.
- Sell products/services/live pets, promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety, respond to sick/injured pets, assist all store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—passion for pets suffices. Seek strong communication, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility. Thrive in fast-paced retail with physical demands and animal exposure.
