Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexible hours, evenings/weekends/holidays, and the chance to make a daily impact in pet retail.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, handle live animals in a dynamic store environment with moderate noise and pet hair exposure. Reasonable accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online. Feed/water/clean pet habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals). Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, promote events/adoptions, ensure safety, and assist across store areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Ideal candidates have strong communication, flexibility, composure under pressure, and love for pets. Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and animal handling essential.
