Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Ft. McMurray, Alberta, you'll engage with pet parents and their pets, deliver positive experiences, and uphold PetSmart's vision. Share responsibility for store cleanliness, pet safety, and direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility, growth potential, and the joy of working with animals.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction in person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
• Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store standards: cleanliness, merchandising, price changes, product stocking.
• Sell merchandise, services, live pets, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—passion for pets is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, offer scheduling flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), and meet physical demands: standing, lifting 50+ lbs, handling animals in a dynamic retail environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
