Role Overview

Our part-time Retail Sales Associates are the heart of the store, delivering outstanding pet parent experiences while maintaining pet safety and store standards. This entry-level role offers flexibility, hands-on pet care, and pathways to career advancement in pet retail.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
• Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Execute merchandising tasks: face/fill products, stage new inventory, support price changes and promotions.
• Promote events like adoption weekends, Treats enrollment, and charity drives; recommend products and services.
• Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety for associates/pets/customers, and respond urgently to sick/injured pets.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required – pet passion is key! Must have strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs+, climb ladders, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments). Vision for depth perception needed.
