Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Glenmont NY you'll engage pet parents deliver outstanding service and care for store pets. Uphold PetSmart's vision while maintaining cleanliness safety and sales standards. Flexible part-time role perfect for animal enthusiasts seeking rewarding retail work.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person online phone and at register; greet answer questions prepare pickups
- Provide direct pet care: feed water clean habitats (fish birds reptiles small animals) administer vet-directed meds
- Stock face recover merchandise execute price changes/promotions ensure sales floor standards
- Sell recommend merchandise services live pets; promote events like adoptions Treats charity
- Maintain safety cleanliness; respond to sick/injured pets transport to vet; assist storewide
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required but pet passion helps. Need strong communication flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays composure under pressure. Physically demanding: stand/walk/lift 50lbs+ (team lift 100lbs+) climb kneel reach; exposed to pet hair noise animals wet areas. Depth perception essential.
