Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Grafton, WI store, you'll engage pet parents, care for live pets, and maintain a welcoming store. This entry-level role offers flexible hours, evenings/weekends/holidays, and hands-on experience in pet retail. Uphold our vision of exceptional pet parent experiences and pet safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent service in-person, phone, register, and online; prepare pickup orders.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain cleanliness/safety.
- Recommend products, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Respond to sick/injured pets, ensure safe environment, and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, flexibility for variable shifts, composure under pressure. Physical demands: lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), stand/walk extensively, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments. Depth perception and ladder use required.
