Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Greece, New York, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver exceptional service, maintain store standards, and care for live animals. This entry-level role offers flexibility, impact, and passion-driven work in a fun pet environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and maintain cleanliness/safety.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Handle sick/injured pets, team lift heavy items, and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure. Physically demanding: lift 50lbs+, stand/walk, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments. Depth perception and ladder use essential.
