Role Overview
PetSmart's Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) delivers exceptional pet parent experiences, maintains store standards, and provides direct care for in-store pets. Based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, this entry-level role suits animal lovers with flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Manage pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and crickets; administer vet-directed meds.
- Uphold cleanliness, execute price changes, stock shelves, and recover sales floor per standards.
- Sell merchandise, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who stay composed under pressure, handle 50+ lb lifts, climb ladders, and thrive in pet-filled environments with moderate noise and occasional wet/hairy conditions. Vision for depth perception and physical stamina essential.
