Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) you'll be the friendly face welcoming pet parents and their furry scaly or feathered companions. This entry-level role combines customer service pet care merchandising and store operations to deliver outstanding experiences. Flexibility for evenings weekends and holidays is key in our dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person over phone at register and for online pickups
• Provide direct care for store pets: feed water clean habitats administer vet-directed meds and respond to health issues
• Maintain store cleanliness recover merchandise execute price changes and stage new products
• Recommend sell merchandise services and live pets while promoting events like adoptions and Treats enrollment
• Ensure safety for associates pets and customers across all store areas

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required but pet lovers thrive here. You'll need strong communication flexibility under pressure and physical stamina to lift 50lbs frequently team lift 100lbs climb ladders and work in pet-filled environments. Comfort with animals moderate noise and occasional wet conditions essential.
