Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a clean, safe environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for animal lovers seeking rewarding retail work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote merchandise, services, events, and adoptions.
- Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards; respond immediately to sick/injured pets.
- Support all store areas, including services, as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – passion for pets is key! We seek strong communicators who thrive under pressure, with flexibility for varied shifts. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, climbing ladders, and handling live animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
