Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Helena, MT, you'll deliver outstanding pet parent experiences, care for live pets, and maintain a clean, safe store. This entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, ideal for animal enthusiasts seeking rewarding retail work.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and seamless checkouts.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (fish, birds, reptiles, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety, and respond immediately to sick/injured pets, including vet transport.
- Recommend products/services and assist across store areas, including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who stay composed under pressure, handle 50+ lb lifts, climb ladders, and thrive in dynamic environments with pet hair, noise, and live animals. Flexibility for variable shifts is essential.
