Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate), you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and maintain a welcoming store. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in a fun pet-loving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure store cleanliness, pet safety, and immediate action on sick/injured pets.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. Bring strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals in moderate noise/wet conditions).
