Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Houston, Texas, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver exceptional service, maintain store standards, and provide direct pet care. This entry-level role offers flexibility, impact, and passion-driven work in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and promote events like adoptions.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and respond to pet health issues by transporting to vets as needed.
- Recommend products, services, and live pets while supporting all store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled setting. Vision for depth perception needed.
