Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate in Houston, TX, you'll engage pet parents and care for store pets, ensuring positive experiences while maintaining cleanliness and safety. This entry-level role offers flexibility and impact in a fun pet-loving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent service in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Manage pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals.
- Stock shelves, face products, handle price changes, and promote events/adoptions.
- Recommend products/services, administer vet-directed meds, and ensure safety.
- Assist across store areas, maintain cleanliness, and respond to pet emergencies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina (lift 50lbs, climb ladders, handle animals in noisy/wet conditions). Depth perception and team lifting for heavier items.
