Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Houston, Texas, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, deliver exceptional experiences, and uphold our vision of pet safety and store excellence. Share in maintaining cleanliness, pet care, and sales while working flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise, pet hair, and occasional wet areas. Reasonable accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide hands-on care for store pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), administer vet-directed meds, and respond to sick pets.
- Execute merchandising: face/fill products, stage new items, manage price changes/promotions.
- Sell merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; assist across store including services.
Experience & Skills
