Role Overview

As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Huntington Station, New York, you'll engage with pet parents and their pets, provide exceptional service, uphold pet safety standards, and maintain store operations. This entry-level role offers flexibility, hands-on pet care, and a chance to build a career in pet retail.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
• Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, small animals, fish), and administer vet-directed medications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, face/fill products, stage merchandise, support price changes and promotions.
• Recommend products, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
• Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets and assist across store areas.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle live animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
