Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) you'll engage pet parents and pets delivering positive experiences while maintaining store standards. Share pet care duties ensure cleanliness and support sales in this dynamic retail environment. Flexibility for evenings weekends and holidays required.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction via in-person phone register and online order fulfillment
- Provide direct care for store pets: feed water clean habitats and administer vet-directed meds
- Stock shelves face products execute price changes and maintain sales floor standards
- Sell merchandise services live pets and promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment
- Ensure safety for associates pets and customers; respond immediately to sick/injured pets
Physical Demands
Stand walk lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs) climb ladders and handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience needed but pet passion helps. Must have strong communication flexibility under pressure and physical stamina. Ideal for animal lovers seeking retail growth.
