Role Overview
Our part-time Retail Sales Associates (Pet Associates) deliver outstanding pet parent experiences while maintaining store standards and providing direct pet care. Located in Hyannis, MA, this entry-level role offers flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities to advance in pet retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, online order prep, and sales at register.
- Manage pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish, and crickets; administer vet-directed meds.
- Keep store spotless, handle merchandising, price changes, product stocking, and recovery to sales floor standards.
- Sell merchandise, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Prioritize safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required – just a pet-loving attitude! Must have strong communication, flexibility for variable shifts, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), climb ladders, and work in pet-filled environments with moderate noise and occasional wet conditions.
