Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate in Irving, Texas, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store. This entry-level role offers flexible hours, evenings/weekends/holidays, and hands-on pet interaction while delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide direct care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and vet-directed medications.
- Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and visual standards through stocking, facing, recovery, and price changes.
- Recommend merchandise, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Respond to pet health issues, transport to vet if needed, and assist across store areas including services.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Need strong communication, flexibility for varied shifts, composure under pressure. Physical demands: lift 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), stand/walk extensively, handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair.
