Our Part-Time Retail Sales Associates in Ithaca, NY, deliver exceptional pet parent experiences, maintain store standards, and provide direct pet care. This entry-level role suits animal lovers ready for dynamic retail with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent satisfaction through greetings, question-answering, and seamless online order pickups.
- Manage pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals; administer vet-directed meds.
- Ensure store excellence by facing products, recovering floors, staging merchandise, and handling price changes.
- Promote sales, services, events like adoptions, and Treats enrollment while prioritizing safety.
- Respond to pet health issues, transport to vets if needed, and assist across store areas.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators who stay composed under pressure, handle physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, climbing, stooping), and embrace a fast-paced environment with live animals, pet hair, and moderate noise.
