Role Overview
PetSmart's Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) delivers outstanding customer service, cares for store pets, and maintains a clean, safe store. Based in Jackson, Michigan, this entry-level role offers flexible hours ideal for pet lovers seeking impactful work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online; greet customers and prepare pick-up orders.
- Handle pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats for birds, reptiles, small animals, fish; administer vet-directed medications.
- Maintain store standards: face/fill products, execute price changes, ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Recommend products, services, live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Respond to sick/injured pets, assist across store areas, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. We seek pet enthusiasts with strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
