Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Jefferson City, Missouri, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store. This entry-level role offers flexibility, weekly pay, and paths to advancement while making a daily impact on pets' lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Care for store-owned pets: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administer vet-directed meds.
- Stock shelves, face products, execute price changes, and prepare online orders.
- Promote sales, events like adoptions and Treats enrollment, ensuring safety for pets, associates, and customers.
- Maintain cleanliness and assist across store areas as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required. We seek pet enthusiasts with strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a dynamic retail setting with moderate noise and pet hair.
