Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Kelowna, British Columbia, you'll engage pet parents, care for store pets, and maintain a welcoming store environment. This entry-level role offers flexibility and the chance to make a daily impact on pets' lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online.
- Provide direct care for store-owned pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals).
- Maintain store cleanliness, stock shelves, face products, and support price changes.
- Recommend products, services, live pets, and promote events like adoption weekends.
- Ensure pet safety, administer medications as directed, and respond to sick/injured pets.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! We seek strong communicators with schedule flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a dynamic retail setting with moderate noise and pet hair.
