Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in Lake Mary, Florida, you'll engage pet parents, care for live animals, and maintain an inviting store environment. This entry-level role offers flexible scheduling and hands-on pet interaction while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-person, phone, register, and online order pickups.
- Provide daily care for store pets: feeding, watering, cleaning habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, small animals), and administering vet-directed medications.
- Drive sales by recommending products, services, and live pets; promote events like adoptions and Treats enrollment.
- Maintain store standards: cleanliness, merchandising, price changes, stocking, and recovery.
- Ensure safety for associates, pets, and customers; respond to sick/injured pets and transport to vet as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—pet passion is key! Successful candidates have strong communication, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, composure under pressure, and physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and handle animals in a dynamic environment with moderate noise and pet hair.
