Role Overview
As a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate (Pet Associate) in our Layton, Utah store, you'll engage pet parents and pets, deliver exceptional service, and maintain store standards. This entry-level role shares pet care, cleanliness, and sales responsibilities in a fast-paced pet retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
Essential Physical Demands
Stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle animals, work in wet/noisy conditions with pet hair. Reasonable accommodations available.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive pet parent experience in-person, phone, register, and online; greet and answer questions.
- Prepare online orders and ensure smooth pick-up.
- Provide pet healthcare: feed, water, clean habitats (birds, reptiles, fish, etc.), administer meds.
- Stock, face, recover products; support price changes and merchandising.
- Promote events, sell merchandise/services/pets; ensure safety and handle sick pets.
